Either is fine.

I would use the hyphen.

I'd write B but I don't think A would stand out as being wrong.

Spelt and spelled are both correct. Similar to dreamt and dreamed; leant and leaned; spoilt and spoiled etc.

As others have said, either is fine. It’s just a question of style. FWIS, I’d hyphenate.

And be consistent.

Either are fine, I hate hyphens in this instance. PP is right, make sure you are consistent.
