Lidl virgin- 10% off my shopping there!

As the title says I'm a Lidl virgin, I've been in our local one a few times but only to pick up a specific item. It's an old dirty looking store and the fruit/veg always looks like mush.
Ds has just got a job in the huge fancy new one in the next town, it's only five mins away so I'm hoping to do quite a bit of shopping there now. Especially since he gets a 10% card on his first shift (not months later like the other big supermarkets)
The cost of living increase is crippling us just now, is Lidl genuinely cheaper? Will I be bathing in organic milk if I'm getting an extra 10% off?
Any tips for shopping there?

Doesn't work for me, can't get everything I want, have to drive to somewhere else to get the rest. What it takes in time and petrol, plus it's not that cheap anymore it isn't worth it.

Ah that's a shame, here was me thinking it would be like getting a pay rise with what I was going to save 🙈

Start with buying items where the brand is less important. For us, it's milk, meats, pasta, tinned tomatoes, rice, cheese, cleaning products.

The random food weeks (Alps, Spain, USA, China) can be a good opportunity to try something a bit different.

Just be open minded about the brands. We give products a try and if we don't like it, we don't buy it again. Simples.

Try a croissant or three, as you go in by the door. Best I've ever had
