Give me your(nice) film recommendations?

I haven't been very well and am feeling a bit down.

Can anyone recommend any films you've seen that are easy watching? So many films nowadays provoke strong emotional reactions - I really do not (at this moment) want to watch anything featuring violence, grief, desolation etc even though these films have their place. I'd love to watch something that's light and easy to watch, maybe with nice scenery. Nothing sad!

Anything good you've watched recently?

When I’m ill I return to the classics - specifically BBC’s versions of Jane Austin! Happy ending, no one being loudly tortured…

I know it's old and prolly considered a childrens movie but The Railway Children is lovely. So is Miss Potter and if in doubt, Bridget Jones' Diary 📔

Bright Star (Jane Campion). A bit more challenging (not remotely violent) but absolutely gorgeous.
Do you like older films? The Ladykillers with Alec Guinness is perfection.

The Paddington films. I'll happily watch them as an adult. Did you know that Paddington 2 is technically the best film ever made according to Rotten Tomatoes' scoring system?!

Howl's Moving Castle is a visual feast and a lovely story.
