Yes.

I'm currently working my way through a tub of greek yoghurt for breakfast every morning with a use by date of 28th May.

RJnomore1 · 04/07/2022 17:20

Beef yeah. If they were chicken probably not.

Yankydoodledandy · 04/07/2022 17:20

Because it's beef yes, chicken I wouldn't.

iholdgrudges · 04/07/2022 17:24

Yes. I ate some beef burgers 5 days past use by at the weekend and they were fine.

carefullycourageous · 04/07/2022 17:26

Meat - no.
Yogurt - entirely different matter.

fortifiedwithtea · 04/07/2022 17:34

Bit borderline because its minced up and squished together meat doesn’t keep as long. But on the other hand its Marks and feel their use by dates are over cautious.

Give it a sniff

Frenchfancy · 04/07/2022 17:35

Its beef so as long as it smells ok I would eat it. But I'd cook thoroughly.

DaisyDando · 04/07/2022 17:35

No.

AffIt · 04/07/2022 17:36

Smell it.

We are all the descendants of thousands of generations of people who managed to keep themselves alive and propagate by using their common sense.

CambsAlways · 04/07/2022 17:36

Nope

coffeecupsandfairylights · 04/07/2022 17:37

Yeah, if it smelt fine I would.

GerryAtrick · 04/07/2022 17:37

I would, yes.

JanglyBeads · 04/07/2022 17:38

Yes as it's only two days and it's not poultry or pork, as long as you cook them thoroughly and aren't giving them to anyone vulnerable.

Oddbutnotodd · 04/07/2022 17:40

Yes I cooked some minced chicken yet eat by 30Jun. I’m still alive. It was Waitrose and I used a meat thermometer.
Beef will be fine

RaspberryChouxBuns · 04/07/2022 18:16

If it smelt fine I wouldn't give it a second thought, I'd just make sure it was cooked through properly.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 04/07/2022 18:17

yes, definitely.

TeapotTitties · 04/07/2022 18:19

Of course if it smells ok
