I guess there aren't any then!

As far as I am aware, there aren't any.

Are you a long way away? The full season tickets are expensive but if you got them on say 7th August you could go once or twice this summer, then again one weekend in Sept, then next year at Easter, half term and start of the holidays. The more you go the cheaper it is.

Though that doesn't help if that is too expensive to start with.

It is great for ages 2-12.

They never do discounts. Just a slightly cheaper ticket for booking online rather than buying on the day.

DockOTheBay · 05/07/2022 12:02

Season tickets are £250

megletthesecond · 05/07/2022 12:06

They don't do them. It's one of the few places that is worth the ticket fee I'm afraid.

TeenDivided · 05/07/2022 12:08

£250! Wow. They've gone up since we had them!!

Yeah we had one in about 2019 and it was £125, they've gone up substantially.

They still do a £125 version but it can't be used weekends or school holidays so basically useless for anyone with kids over 5.

Nice idea but we are about 1000 miles away! We are going to visit family nearby.

If you can afford it and have kids the right age I would say go anyway. It is really really good.

TheBikiniExpert · 05/07/2022 13:28

I have actually been about forty years ago but I believe it has changed quite a lot. The price certainly has!!

They don’t do discounts but it is way, way better than most other theme parks in the UK especially if you have kids. It’s clean, well-kept, pretty and has a good selection of rides. In the main park (not Peppa Pig World) we’ve never had to queue for much more than 20 minutes.

purpleboy · 05/07/2022 13:40

It's really worth the visit. It's a great park now you can see they invest in it, it's always clean and rides don't break. Quests in peppa pig world are longer than the rest of the park but only 1 or 2 ever top 45mins majority are 20.
You can take your own food in and it's free to park.

It has changed massively. When I was a child (20+ years ago) it was basically just fairground rides and some plastic dinosaurs. There is loads there now - do size roller coasters, loads of good rides, peppa pig world, some great play areas, soft play, splash Park. It is very well maintained, clean and the staff are excellent. Not a single bit of it looks run down or in need or repair. There are also beautiful gardens, aviaries and animals. It's expensive but they obviously use the money keeping up the park.

If your staying in the area I would also recommend Moors Valley Country Park about 35 minutes from Paultons. Loads for all ages and £15 for a car full of people for the day.

Good idea! We have been there and really enjoyed it. My memories of PP are similar to yours - I seem to remember a barn full of scythes and mannequins dressed up in costumes as part of an exhibition of rural life!

Agree Moors Valley is good.
Yes PP has changed a lot from the days of scythes displays.
Other places 'in the area'

  • Longdown Activity Farm

  • New Forest Wildlife Park

Yes they had a museum of gypsy life or something with proper Romany caravans and terrifying mannequins. I think that closed in about 2010.
