Household Cavalry on Holkham beach?

I'm banking on some MNer knowing this - DP and I will be on the north Norfolk coast for a few days from this coming Friday, and got a second-hand tip that the Household Cavalry exercise the horses on Holkham beach early in the morning at this time of year - I gather they have a kind of summer break in Norfolk to give the animals some fresh air and a change of scene. Can anyone confirm this, is it every morning, and what time? I'd love to see them. Thanks for any info!

Yes they absolutely do- but I don’t know if they are there at the moment!

They are at bodney on 16th July for their camp so usually are at Holdham the week before - it’s announced on edp and local radio - so youve got a good chance of seeing them if you are arriving this Friday!!

I love that they take the horses on holiday to let their hair down, have a good gallop and play in the sea.

Last time we saw them, one of the soldiers parents had come to see them with the lad’s dog who ran into the sea to be with him! 😢

I've seen them in the past in july. They let my DD's stroke the horses who are just so amazingly calm
