We're just back from Turkey, we used nearly 1 bottle each for a week. Although tbh the shops there where so cheap compared to the uk, it's probably better to buy it there !

A bottle a week is what I was working on - dh seems to think we should be taking gallons!

I’d estimate a big bottle per week per adult, half a bottle for a young child that will be mostly be covered up. So what you have sounds about right and besides if you do run out you can always buy it there.

I heard a rumour that they have shops in Turkey that might just sell sun lotion!

Haha - that's true!

DS needs special sun cream that’s hard to find anywhere but online so I’d be inclined to take 2 of those and one for the rest of us. If we didn’t need the posh sensitive one, I’d just take one and buy anymore I needed there.

I want to get some decent face stuff as well as I've read that it's less likely to make my eyes sting than normal suncream 🤔

I think you’ll easily be ok with 2 bottles. I live in a hot country with 3 kids and we don’t use a bottle a week.

Decent face stuff, I recommend La Roche-Posay, Anthelious Non perfumed dry touch gel cream. Everything else makes my face & eyes sting or feel a bit sticky. There is also a face mist which is handy to go over makeup.

As for amounts to take, if you want to get mathematical about it.....

The recommended amount per adult per application for all over body is 2 tablespoons (30 ml). So 3x applications per day x 7 days = 210mls. So 250 ml bottle for 7 days should last one adult, especially if not swimming a lot (towelling off rubs it off) and covered up or in the shade for some of the time.
