Bought wine from there for years as it's nice and the odd bits but was always too scared to do a proper shop, mainly because things looks so unfamiliar.
Money being tight now, I've been doing little shops in there and the majority of stuff has been nice, with some even nicer than other supermarkets!
So far I've had their steak, bacon, burgers and sausages from the meat section and they've been lovely! I've found their tinned produce such a tuna and tomatoes nice, haven't tried the beans yet though. Their orange juice is very nice, I did a blind taste test on my dd and she thought the lidl one was the juice from a more expensive supermarket!
Their frozen chips are the nicest I've found, as is their pesto. The only thing I wish they did was branded crisps and proper fresh white bread that isn't tiger loaf or sour dough.
So I'm a lidl convert and I think if I go into sainsburys or tesco now, I might wince at the price!
