"Stunning and brave" ... ???

What is it with this phrase? Is it a joke, because I am seeing it on discussion boards everywhere, applied to people like Meghan Markle, Phil Schofield, and I think in a sarky way.

Is this phrase a "thing" that I don't know about? Not that I will ever use it, but the only time I have heard it is in South Park many years ago.

The only time I've seen 'stunning and brave' is as a piss take, when the sentence generally includes 'hun'.

I've only seen it here, about those brave, stunning men that compete for and receive awards and prizes reserved for women.

It generally suggests that someone has done something that everyone around them suffers for, yet has to congratulate them for being stunning and brave.

So Philip Schofield coming out after decades of cheating on his wife with men- stunning and brave.

it's a handy shortcut indicating that whoever says it, and who it applies too are complete twats.

Is it the new Thoughts & Prayers (hun) ? 😬
