Skin tag removal

So I've had an anal skin tag since pregnancy 5 years ago. It's painful at times and itchy. Apparently the nhs don't remove them as its cosmetic and I have to pay 1300 to have it removed!

How big is it? Can you use a home removal kit.

I’ve successfully got rid of two - one under my arm and one under my boob. Very easy and changing! Not sure if it makes a difference where on the body they are though.

The kits are good if it's small enough. I had one on my inner thigh that was too big, I wrapped cotton around it really tightly and covered it with a dressing. It fell off after a week or so, hurt a bit, but worth it.

Not in same position but I removed two from a friend's next by tying dental floss around them tightly. They dropped off after a week or so. Anyone you trust well enough to do the same for you in that area?

If you find a local aesthetics beautician who does e.g. botox and fillers they often remove skin tags as one of their services. Ring and ask one if they do the anal region. It may be it does not cost too much.

OMG the thought of self-removing an anal skin tag!!! There's DIY but that's on another scale

I go to a beautician that does advanced electrolysis to have mine removed. I get them every few years. It's so quick and doesn't hurt too much. I had one just under my eye removed which is a sensitive area and bikini line also. This is in Berkshire if any use to you?
