Love a nosy thread like this

We’ve had pizza and a film tonight, now I’m just hanging up the washing from today before I catch up on the Real Housewives with a glass of wine and probably some nuts
DP has gone out
DS1 is in his room on his Xbox
DD2 is at the desk in the dining room playing the Sims while something she’s painted dries before she can add another layer
DS2 & DD2 are both in bed but DD2 is definitely not sleeping yet, she thinks I can’t hear her messing about 🙄
Ddog is snoozing on one of my brand new cushions that I said she wasn’t allowed on

What’s happening in your house?

DD's birthday. We went into London by tube ti go her favourite place to get food from Harrods Food Hall for the lols. Just been eating it (ready meal type thing) and watching Today at Wimbledon with glass of wine. Due to eat out tomorrow. Wondering if I'll now have got covid for the first time even though we were masked up. The tube was busy.

Amichelle84 · 01/07/2022 21:36

Our 2 DS are finally asleep.
DP and I are in bed, he's snoring and in a deep sleep from some pain medication.
The cat is looking out the window.
I'm in bed on my phone listening to snoring...

Ragwort · 01/07/2022 21:42

Collected our DS from his placement (3rd year at Uni) ... involved an overnight trip and five hour drive home ... have been overwhelmed with washing Angry - I can't understand how someone can have so many clothes ... of course he could do it himself but I can't stand the mess .... four loads done since we got back and at least the same again tomorrow... I don't know where he's going to put it all when it's done Confused.
Good news is that we had a very nice steak BBQ dinner. ... and I am now in bed ready for sleep.

CoverYourselfInChocolateGlory · 01/07/2022 21:44

DH is away so I've just been hanging out with DD. She's got a tummy bug and had a poonami all over the sofa earlier. Thank god the covers are washable. Now fast asleep and I'm getting and early night!

Batshittery · 01/07/2022 21:54

DH is out for the evening. I had a takeaway for my tea and I'm just watching Gogglebox before I go to bed. I'll watch the lateish show with Mo Gilligan in bed

Sanch1 · 01/07/2022 21:58

Our extension completed so we've been sat at our new breakfast drinking fizz!

ThreeRingCircus · 01/07/2022 21:59

DDs have been in bed since 7.30pm. I made whisky and cokes for DH and I and we chilled for a bit listening to music and drinking them. Then pie and mash for our dinner and watched rubbish on catch up TV.

Shortly will head to bed, we're knackered!

vodkaredbullgirl · 01/07/2022 21:59

No idea I'm at work.

Batshittery · 01/07/2022 22:01

Obviously, Mo Gilligan won't be in bed with me Grin

BiddyPop · 01/07/2022 22:03

Dh brought DDog to visit/meet dog sitter ahead of holidays in 3 weeks and got chinese en route home.
I, having driven teen dc to get Italian for dinner, rang in Chinese order and starting on wine

Now watching Dave with DH while dc watches hockey and ddog runs between both rooms...

BiddyPop · 01/07/2022 22:04

Oh, and listening to music festival miles away but still v loud...people who've been working all week need sleep!

Nat6999 · 01/07/2022 22:05

I'm in bed reading & listening to Bruce Sprinsteen, ds has just left to get the train to Manchester Airport to meet his boyfriend off his flight from Crete.

heidihigh · 01/07/2022 22:06

DP has gone out to watch a local band and for a few drinks and I'm lounging on the sofa just chilling after a hectic couple of days in London. Enjoying the peace before I'm inevitably roped into working on the garden (massive job!) again tomorrow HmmGrin

Angrymum22 · 01/07/2022 22:09

Quiet night in. DS17 who has recently assed his driving test has just gone out to meet his friends, driving himself. So no sleep for me tonight. However at least I don’t need to drive him the 8 miles into town and back again.
Despite mother of new driver anxiety I have to let go sometime so despite better judgement we have let him go. He did a lot of driving in the dark when he first started learning. He had driven every day for at least 2hrs since the start of March but as every parent knows you never stop worrying.

Jewelanemone · 01/07/2022 22:11

Obsessively checking my emails/EasyJet app in case our flights to Crete tomorrow are cancelled at the last minute. Going out to see my mum for the first time since last year. Won't relax until I'm actually in the air.

BecauseOfTheRain · 01/07/2022 20:59

We are about to watch the just released vol 2 of Stranger Things 4 with a glass of wine. I've been very excited about it!

Us too! We're a bit late getting started though so might watch one tonight and one tomorrow

Thislittlekitten · 01/07/2022 22:24

School holidays here (Scotland). Kids played with friends while I pottered about and played taxi.

DC now playing board games with DH but few tears now so bed time coming!

Ive been chilling out with my book. Working tomorrow though so they will all have a long lie while I work!

MrsPear · 01/07/2022 22:27

Take away pizza for dinner.

Then took ds age 12 to the summer party at school. He is home now. It was a good party (secondary school parties are so much better than primary ones) he keeps singing one kiss and is proud of his retort to a girl who refers to him as the disabled boy (he has bilateral hearing loss and wears aids) he replied well least I’m not walking around with £ land beetroot bleach hair. He is growing up. Fast. Oh and he wants a cross body bag. Finally the over emotional girl was crying. Again.

He is now on PS4 and I’m thinking bed.

gingersplodgecat · 01/07/2022 22:32

Everybody else is out. Just finished reading 'What do you think you are? The science of what makes you you' by Brian Clegg. Very thought-provoking, and I recommend it.

Freeview box has thrown a wobbly so the tv is off. I'm drinking decaf and waiting for dd to text me with the time her train arrives at the station so I can drive over and pick her up.

stripeymonster · 01/07/2022 22:36

Dh out with friends drinking.Dd1 gone to bed with suspected migraine after overdoing swimming, dd2 at first ever residential with school and dd3 in bed reading loudly. I'm wondering whether I'll end up with a phone call from school to go and pick up dd2. Clearly dh has none of these concerns as he won't be able to drive if needed 😬. I've eaten too much chocolate, s &
v Square crisps and now a fab. Healthy eating starts tomorrow 😳

DeathMetalMum · 01/07/2022 22:38

Dd's have been at a sports event all day with school and dd2 was exhausted also possibly coming down with something. They went upstairs quite early to watch whatever series they are currently watching. Dp was away at an event last night, he sorted dinner while I was picking dc up aftee work, so we just watched a film. We try and alternate between family film night and dp and I film night.

We have a new shed arriving tomorrow, local summer fair after lunch and dd1 is over at her friends for the afternoon, and I hope to do some baking with dd2.

StarlessSea123 · 01/07/2022 22:49

DH is at work. I’m lying on top of the bed with our little 3 month old daughter asleep in her next to me crib, having just spent 15 mins settling her 😊 it’s very relaxing for me too listening to her white noise toy and lying in the semi darkness. Going to read my kindle and have a cup of tea.

warofthemonstertrucks · 01/07/2022 22:51

I dropped Dp, dd and DSS's to a football match where the boys were mascots, then dd2 and I went to Dunelm to get some last bits for her room makeover. Went back to pick dd1 up as she was bored. She had a huge strop (she is feeling discombobulated since the end of her GCSE's and her boyfriend has gone back to Scotland where he plays football for a living so she isn't happy ) and went to bed. I then went back to get the boys, wherein DP had a huge strop because they were overtired and acting up.

Only dd2 and I are happy this evening it seems, but that's they way it goes sometimes.

Tomorrow is another day Grin
