Aldi shopping list and meal plans

Hi all Im off to Aldi tomorrow I usually go to Lidl. I'm a throw it all in the trolley and hope for the best type of person and meal plan when I get home. I'm sat here trying to make a list and don't have the brain power.

If anyone could share their Aldi shopping list and meal plans that would be great. Looking for new ideas. Typical meals are chilli / tacos / fajitas / curry / chow mein / spaghetti carbonara / spaghetti meatballs.

Budget is around £100. Don't need alcohol. Milk bread eggs oranges we get from milkman. We don't eat beef. Family of 6. Need packed lunch / home lunch ideas for 4 of us (2 have school lunches)

All help appreciated thanks.

Not really a meal plan per se but stuff like halloumi and cured meats are much cheaper than most places. Possibly some kind of halloumi salad or wraps? The wraps are good value, actually - they had no normal pitta breads when I was there last week.

Also free range chicken thigh fillets are a good price. I was going to suggest fajitas or a curry - maybe chicken paprikash for a change?

There’s a great Hairy Dieters recipe for what is basically a pork jambalaya - spicy pork rice, I think. For four, you’d need a pork fillet, chorizo, onion, green beans and about three peppers. Plus spices. I often do this and you can get everything in Aldi.

Also, if you ever do a stir fry or similar with frozen raw prawns, they are much cheaper in Aldi than most supermarkets.

Have a look on Instagram at Taming Twins, she does weekly meal plans to download and many of her plans are out of Aldi and look gorgeous

Search Amy Sheppard on Facebook, she's the author of The Savvy Shoppers Cookbook which is exclusively meal plans and recipes with Aldi ingredients. A lot of the recipes are on her fb page too although the book itself is not too expensive .

There is someone called Jades Bites on Instagram who does meal planning based on Aldi shops, she is really creative and makes sone great dishes which aren’t very complicated.
