Breakfast in London sunday?

Any recommendations? I've got a child free night away, me and my mum are staying near Marylebone Saturday night. Where would you go for breakfast/brunch? No dietary requirements, Mum loves Covent Garden, but it doesn't have to be there necessarily. She just likes to people watch.

Mum would like somewhere outdoors probably that she can sit and read the papers, but I've said we can get a coffee and head to Regent's Park or something to do that after.

Whenever I'm in London breakfast involves feeding kids who wake at 5am so relaxed late breakfasts are a thing of the past!

Mum seems excited about Dishooms menu. I think we're going to make our way to a Covent Garden Sunday and wait for a table.

We can find somewhere outside for a coffee after if she wants to read her papers! Thank you all!

Have screenshot a few of these just in case DH and I ever get away on our own!

@doadeer Ive only been to that one - just not on a Sunday! Must try to get up earlier!

St Christopher's place is just below Marylebone High st and is definitely a people watching outdoorsy place, so worth popping for coffee.

Enjoy Dishoom and hope you get a table!

The Ivy is just another bog-standard chain by the way, unless you mean "The Ivy" in West Street WC2.

The Dishooms on Kingly Street has outdoor seating.

The Wolseley Is the best.

Try Elan cafe, lots of locations, indoor and outdoor seating. Imo good food and obviously lovely floral decor

Chiltern firehouse or Wolsley

These were also going to be my suggestions!

We’ve had brunch at Cote Brasserie, Festival Hall - very good selection and v reasonable IMO. There are tables outside and plenty of people to watch in that location.

Ok as someone said the Ivy is now a 'bog standard chain- ' - it may be, but in my opinion a very nice one indeed- it's my absolute reliable go to for a nice meal with lovely decor and good service. Give me a well done chain over a flaky, variable independent ( in some cases. ) breakfast there is quite a reasonable deal and lots of choice.
