After much nagging and cajoling he (17) tried on his suit and it doesn’t fit…

So I need to help him find an evening suit for Monday…

I had a look online last night and hire places seem to need much longer to organise this (what a shocker!). Even M&S don’t have any in his size in stock (he’s on the small side).

he’d rock up in surfer shorts and a T-shirt of left up to him…

anyone got any bright ideas? I’m sure there are high st shops that sell them but I have no idea what the quality is like (but any port in a storm I suspect at this stage). I have seen some online rental places but it’s all done online so no wiggle room if they’re don’t fit.

I was in the same position as last week… Next do next day delivery.

I was looking at Next for a suit for my DS (thankfully not needed until 15/7) and most of the suit trousers were on a 2 week delay. There was hardly anything in the store at our local retail park either.

DS is going to a local gents outfitters on Saturday where they have a large selection of suits at various price ranges. It's not the sort of shop most youngsters would give a second glance at normally but I'm confident he'll get a suit there.

Have a look for gents outfitters in your area. There's not many left but I'm sure they'll have a good selection.

Charity shops?

Independent hire shops sometimes have more available than Moss Bros.

Wedding outfitters.

Borrow from friends, Facebook contacts. He could go lairy and get something that isn't a dinner jacket.
