What sort of treehouse does £150 000 get you?

Boris and Carrie tried to get a donor to fund building a treehouse at Chequers. Obviously, this is dreadful, and Marina Hyde is brilliant on it here, but what does £150 000 get you these days?

How much are those Little Tikes plastic playhouses these days? I seem to remember them being ridiculously expensive over a decade ago.

Not only is JKR paying for her tree house with her own money, she putting it in her own garden!

Oooh, I stayed in one of those Blueforest treehouses at Chewton Glen a few years back (I had some money at the time. I no longer had much money after staying there 😂) It was absolutely amazing.

Perhaps you could argue that it would be for when important people come to stay. Would Joe Biden like a go on the rope swing? Macron in the mud kitchen… do these people stay at Chequers?

I don't think a rope swing would be a good idea. Anything with a rope might give the Chequers staff ideas, or even some for Carrie Johnson when her self-esteem recovers.

Somebody definitely didn’t walk in on someone giving someone who has a very prominent job a BJ. The BJ er wasn’t in line for a £100k a year job and this idea wasn’t quashed by an aide as the “ optics would look bad”. Then nobody later got married and had 2 children.
