I would be a bit fed up about it but would be to tired and busy to do anything about it. I suppose for someone who keeps their house immaculate, it would be infuriating.

Fuck yes! They have. O right to paint/stain it without permission, if the French owner gave permission then they'll have to suck it up, they should have refused or insisted on a professional doing it!!

Just paint that side the same? I imagine it's dark oak? Our neighbours don't want us to pain the fence between our gardens for the same reason 😭

Yes. It would bother me until i covered it. And im one of them impatient people who would prob go buy the paint asap and do it within a few days. Yep im that sad. But it makes me happy to be like that

It looks green to me. Which may not be a colour the friend likes, or it may entail time and money they can't afford or dont want to spend.

It’s not good. My neighbour and i agreed on a colour to avoid this issue.

Yep, it’d be irritating. Even if it was their fence I’d still hate looking at it, even though they’ve every right to paint or whatever colour they wanted to.

If it's their fence then they should ask to come round and paint the other side, not just leave ugly drips.

I imagine touching it up with hand held brush with colour of my preference. Not annoying, just something to redress.

You can't touch that up. It needs to be sanded and re painted

It’s inevitable with that type of fence though. Good suggestion from PP to agree a colour with the neighbour beforehand.
