Would this be a nice teachers gift or a bit crappy?

I can make personalised items (I do it as a hobby only)

I was thinking of getting these bags and notebooks, putting the school crest on them and teachers names (small) and filling them with a few other bits chocolates etc.

The bags and notebooks could be used in school?

Is it a bit cringy? Am on a budget!

Definitely nice! If you know their first initial you could put it on or their teacher name. I had a pupil before (who clearly knew my real name), she got me a lovely personalised diary with an S on it

Name yes crest no! Maybe a message like Mrs Jones' bag of stuff! Or Mrs Jones' bag no marking allowed! I would love it.

Reading this post yesterday.

I wouldn’t bother as most of the teachers that commented appreciated a thank you letter from the pupil or parent.

Love it.
I always buy personalised gifts for teachers. Small and keepsakey.
Dds pre school teacher i had a bauble at xmas done on etsy as she mentioned she loved personalised stuff.
She cried when opened it. Even sent a pic of it on her tree the both years dd was there.

Lovely but I wouldn't put the school logo on it, that way you can take it with you if you leave. I got a lovely water bottle with my "teacher name" Mrs LondonQueen on during my teacher training from a Y5 student and use it every day still.

Lovely idea, except I'd avoid the school crest. I'd put either an appropriate/relevant quote on the bag & name on the notebook.

Datsandcogs · 28/06/2022 21:04

I’ve made these. Sometimes I put the teacher’s name on the apple and ‘Best Teacher’ on the leaf.

Would this be a nice teachers gift or a bit crappy?

I think lovely, but I also don't think teachers don't expect anything and are very aware of people budgets at the mo.

Lovely idea...save for the crest. Can you imagine being gifted a lovely bag....with your workplace's name on it? Barclays, NHS, Sainsbury's,HMRC ☺️

I don't think a school is the same as Barclays. I have stuff with my workplace name because it is providing a service and I am proud to work there.

Loads of NHS staff have NHS stuff, when you work in the public sector it is a source of pride Smile
