Raised itchy birthmark

Dd has a small birthmark on her wrist and never had a problem with it.

Today though, she’s come home complaining it’s been itchy and it’s quite raised. The teacher even drew a line around to make sure it hadn’t spread.

I’ve given her an antihistamine and will be keeping a close eye but has anyone had this?

Anyone?

It could be affected by the sun? I have a couple of raised small birthmarks/moles/freckles that I keep covered for that reason. I'd suggest popping to a chemist tomorrow after school if possible, and see what they suggest. It's a good idea to draw a line around it though
