Anyone in Belfast, or able to be in Belfast, this Friday - 1st July, 2022? Support needed at Langanside Courts for Noah Donohoe's Inquest. 💙

Some Mumsnetters will have heard, or seen my threads and those of other Mumsnetters, about young Noah Donohoe. Noah was a much-loved and loving, bright, beautiful, bi-racial, gentle, funny, kind, musical, sporty and innocent 14 year old child. On 21st June 2020, Noah set off on a cycle ride to meet his schoolfriends to work on his Duke of Edinburgh Award. Tragically, Noah never arrived and his naked body was found in a drain 6 days later, exactly two years ago today.

Noah's mummy Fiona and his auntie Niamh Donohoe are still - yes, two years later - having to fight very hard for the truth about his death and for justice for Noah.

💙This Friday, 1st July, 2022, Noah's Inquest is to be held at Langanside Courts, Belfast - time to be confirmed, but likely to be midday. Fiona and Niamh will be attending in person, alongside the legal team, and very much need - and would very much welcome - your support outside court. If you can attend, please do.💙

Whether or not you can offer your support in person on Friday, if you haven't already signed, a link to Fiona's petition so far with 307,822 signatures can easily be found in the OP of this thread here, together with more information about Noah's story. The police have applied for four files from their faulty investigation into Noah's disappearance and death to be kept secret:

All help to keep posting and bumping this thread and the petition thread into Active gratefully received.

Thank you 💙

I am saddened to read your post tonight.

Please know that his story has punctured my heart and I hope that his mam finally gets to hear the truth (however hard it may be). She deserves that. He deserves that.

Justice won’t bring him back but it may bring her peace in the nightmare she is living in.

One day ….

Rather than just clicking away from the threads, ignoring them or hiding them, it seems that some people would rather make complaints about them and personal attacks against me in posts and/or reports. For one example, see a withdrawn pp, (which was meant to be a report apparently but was posted on the thread instead - too late, because she had shown herself and I saw what was said before it was hastily withdrawn), but there are others. Thank you for posting and for your understanding, support and care @SheldonesqueTheBstard . We will carry on raising awareness and keeping Noah's name in the hearts and minds of the public until the day that the truth is told for Fiona and Niamh, there is justice for Noah and other children are safe. That is what Noah's family want, need and deserve. 💙

Fiona and Niamh Donohoe are organising a peaceful protest on Saturday 13th August 2022 in Belfast. Further details are to be finalised and will follow soon, but they want to give advance notice of the date and place, so that hopefully as many people as possible will be able to arrange to join them.

Fiona and her sister Niamh thank everyone who attended the peaceful protests in Strabane and Derry yesterday against the PII Certificate decision. This show of support not only gives them strength to fight on, but also shows those in power that Noah has a voice and they need to listen.

Please think about whether you are able to be in Belfast on Saturday 13th August to lend your voice and your support to Noah and his mother. All are welcome - including children - and are very much needed in this peaceful protest against the PII certificate and for the truth for Fiona and justice for Noah. Noah cannot speak up for himself and is relying on all decent people to speak up for him.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, because of reports from a vocal minority complaining about it, this thread for Noah has just been moved by MNHQ to the quiet backwater of the Petitions board. I can only guess about the true motivations of the reporters.

Woman who failed in bid to trade in Noah Donohoe's laptop for money for drugs avoids jail
www.itv.com/news/utv/2022-08-11/woman-who-tried-to-trade-in-noah-donohoes-laptop-for-drug-money-avoids-jail

Mr O’Hare told the court she has been subjected to “very unfair comments on social media” since her conviction.
This is one despicable individual my heart does not bleed for. I for one remember what was said to have happened to Noah in a witness statement, with four career criminals named - since, of course, retracted - even if she claims not to via the police/PSNI.

A slapped wrist for her, and that is all. Remember her name: Maria Nolan.

I apologise to everyone having difficulty finding this thread:
www.mumsnet.com/talk/petitions_noticeboard/4607036-belfast-calling-please-join-his-family-this-saturday-13th-august-for-noah-donohoe-and-for-all-children-everybody-welcome
Unfortunately this has been completely out of my control. I found out only when you did. The thread has been moved from Chat by MNHQ without any contact with me via email and without any comment from them on the thread. I find this disrespectful and unsupportive, towards me as the OP and a longstanding mumsnetter, towards other posters on the thread and towards Noah and his family. In the past, we could have expected better from Mumsnet. I can only conclude that the vocal minority of reports complaining against threads for Noah have continued by those with their own agenda. Whether this is racism, sectarian bigotry, fear of the truth and justice because of the attention Noah's story is now getting, or something else, I can only guess. I do know that negative reporting and racist and other trolling posts towards his mummy Fiona and Noah and their supporters have increased alongside publicity after the PII was signed and ahead of the rally for Noah in Belfast tomorrow. The haters won't win. Justice for Noah and the truth for Fiona. 💙

HeartsOfBlue · 12/08/2022 20:48

Please do join the rally in Belfast at 1pm at City Hall tomorrow if you possibly can. Please don't leave it to other people to swell the numbers on your behalf. If everyone thought like that, nobody would be there. Please come and stand up for Noah, stand with Fiona and Niamh, and stand up for all children. As Noah's auntie Niamh says, 'Everyone is welcome to show their support on Saturday. All parties, all cultures & religions. Noah's Army & the fight for truth & justice is inclusive of all.'
