Some Mumsnetters will have heard, or seen my threads and those of other Mumsnetters, about young Noah Donohoe. Noah was a much-loved and loving, bright, beautiful, bi-racial, gentle, funny, kind, musical, sporty and innocent 14 year old child. On 21st June 2020, Noah set off on a cycle ride to meet his schoolfriends to work on his Duke of Edinburgh Award. Tragically, Noah never arrived and his naked body was found in a drain 6 days later, exactly two years ago today.

Noah's mummy Fiona and his auntie Niamh Donohoe are still - yes, two years later - having to fight very hard for the truth about his death and for justice for Noah.

💙This Friday, 1st July, 2022, Noah's Inquest is to be held at Langanside Courts, Belfast - time to be confirmed, but likely to be midday. Fiona and Niamh will be attending in person, alongside the legal team, and very much need - and would very much welcome - your support outside court. If you can attend, please do.💙

I've emailed a female politician with a good reputation on human rights and justice here in the Republic of Ireland.
I can't give you the name or the party as Ireland is so small and I value the anonymity of this site.
She was aware of Noah and Fiona's fight for justice.
I truly hope she too will take up the fight for justice on their behalf.

The granting of Public Interest Immunity Certificates does not just have an impact on Noah's case and his family, but also on keeping us all safe, especially our children. And not just in Northern Ireland - remember that a PII granted by Ben Wallace MP - current candidate for Conservative leader and PM - allowed Robert Howard, police informer and a prolific, predatory, violent sex offender to get away with the rape and murder of a child, to continue offending and travelling in Ireland, Scotland and England, raping and killing another girl in England before Kent police brought him to justice.

Some people might have seen the hand-painted stones made for Noah and placed around to remember him. One of them has just made it to the top of Kilimanjaro. His dreams here on Earth were cut brutally short, but his name has reached the peak of the highest free-standing mountain in the world, with thanks to Gooner on Twitter and Collette Deery 💙

There is a new Secretary of State for Northern Ireland after Brandon Lewis MP resigned from Boris Johnson's government this week. We can only hope and pray that this proves to be positive for Noah's case. 💙

Wee Noah Donohoe just didn't stand a chance, when you look at the hate openly displayed to this day by some members of society. They are a hardened, hate-filled minority of a community, but what is being done by the PSNI and the good majority of that community to stop them?

The images are of bonfires only a couple of days ago - in the place where Noah disappeared and died - you can see the sectarian and misogynist hate speech graffiti, including 'ALL TAIGS ARE TARGETS', together with the burning of flags, election posters, images of the Pope, and also effigies were burnt. Taig is a derogatory term for Catholic people. Some Mumsnetters will already be aware that this was the word also used by PSNI officers to mock the body of a person who died by suicide, after they had moved, posed, unclothed and exposed, photographed and videoed him, then photoshopped speech bubbles on and shared those images. This was also in Belfast, where Noah disappeared and died.

Just like Noah's disappearance and death, I can't imagine that the PSNI will put too much time and energy into investigating this either:

Unfortunately a very vocal minority of people have chosen to complain to MNHQ about the threads about Noah. Whether they are motivated by a lack of compassion, by bigotry, by racism, a combination of the three or something else, I can only guess. Noah's mummy is trolled on social media, so this has come as no surprise, although it is a disappointment on here. They won't win. Justice for Noah. 💙
