Recommendations for a solo girly day in London?

I need to head up to central London on the train to drop something off this week and thought seeing as I would be spending money on the journey into London I would make the most of the day and have a bit of a solo day there. I've done all the touristy things but fancy a bit of a girly day, maybe walking around some pretty areas (Notting Hill? Kensington?) and popping into the Selfridge's beauty hall, something along those kinds of lines.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? I've never been into London on my own so a little nervous

Kensington High Street might be good to walk around, you can also get the Tube to Holland Park and walk through it to get there.

I'd book a last minute matinee theatre ticket and have a nice lunch beforehand.
