£150 incoming from Local council on Bank statement?

I've got £150 pending to arrive tomorrow from local council.

But I already recieved my £150 tax rebate in April.

Any ideas what else it could be?

I'm sure I got 150 in April too and then 150 now. I think the one in April was help for everyone receiving council tax reduction (formerly council tax benefit) and this 150 is for everyone in a band D or below.

I don't think this is correct. The £150 around April was the bands A-D council tax I think.

This explains additional help being sent out. Could be related to that OP.

I can't find anything about a 2nd payment.

That says those payments start from mid July so too early for that. Is it a duplicate payment?

Unfortunately I think it might be a duplicate payment. The other option is that councils were given extra funds to use at their discretion too so it could be they opted to make an additional payment. Check if your council website says anything if not contact them to report a duplicate payment.

That's not true at all. I have never had any kind of reduction or benefit in my CT and the £150 was applied to my bill as a credit in April.

Sorry, I interpreted your post as meaning you’d had a rebate on your council tax for council tax reasons in April, rather than electric reasons.

Hmm weird. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
