Accidentally clicked on delete just for me rather than everyone on WhatsApp

Anyway around this? Message is now over a week old, no help from WhatsApp support, fairly sure it hasn't been screenshot.
Could cause big problems for me and a person outside WhatsApp group if seen.
Reread and, having never used delete before, deleted just for me by accident rather than everyone.

Nothing you can do once you've deleted if for yourself. Could you ask someone else in the group to do it for you? After a week though I'd assume everyone had seen it already.

You can’t delete it once you have done this as you can’t retrieve it, it only deletes from people who haven’t read it anyway, everyone else can still see it

At this stage it is unlikely there is anything to be done. You cannot do delete for all now that you did delete for you.
I don't think you can do delete for all if you were not the original sender.

The only thing you can do is ask each person in the group to delete on their thread. Hopefully they all will.

I've had this before and from what I read (which was a lot) you can only delete for all for an hour after you've sent it... sorry!

You can delete it. Do you have an iPhone?

Can’t quite remember the order, but, switch your phone to airplane mode & switch off the Wifi.

Then go into Settings —> General —> Date and Time and toggle off Set Automatically.

You’ll then see the date and time in blue below. Change that to the day/time (or about 5 mins after) the message you sent that you want to delete, and then go back into WhatsApp and it should now allow you to delete for everybody again (although since you already deleted for you I don’t know if that will make a difference. I’ve only ever done this for messages I’ve deleted one time, for everybody).

When you’ve deleted the message, go back into date and time and retoggle to Set Automatically and it will return your phone the the right day & time.

If that doesn’t work, it may be that you turn the Wifi off/Airplane mode on after you change the date and time. I can’t quite remember.

You only have 1 hour to delete messages for all so it wouldn't have worked anyway.

Wow @NomenOmen wish I had asked Mumsnet when I wanted to do it!!

I would assume after a week most people will have read it, also WhatsApp doesn't notify you if it's been screenshot so no knowing

Can you contact one of the group admins and ask them to delete it?

Or
Can you just post loads of long boring messages so it disappears above all the other messages?
