Why did Tiverton swing to Lib Dems whereas Wakefield swung to Labour. Both from Conservative.
Labour got virtually 0 votes in Tiverton.

Any insight?

Tactical voting in Tiverton. The Tories are hopping mad about it, poor little lambs.

They were both tactical voting. One in the North of England and one in the South.

Wakefield has traditionally been a Labour seat until the red wall issues. Tiverton is in the SW where the Lib Dems have typically been the regional opposition, despite not having ever done much in that seat before.

The seats are very different - one urban, one rural, one north, one south.
