Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cup of tea, and enjoying the quiet. I didn't sleep well last night so a slow start needed! When the washer's finished, I'll pop the washing on the line, then head up to wake the girls and get dressed.

We're off to town for school tights again, and fruit from the market. Need to remember fake tan too - the tan line, on my feet, from wearing ballerina flats & skinny jeans at work, is rediculous, and I want to wear something shorter in the warm weather! I think we'll probably pick up some chicken breasts too while we're there, for tea.

Dd1 wants to watch the Glass Animals' Glasto set later on so I'll probably carry on next week's story props while they play. Monkey Puzzle this time 🐒, & dd2 will come and sit down here to do her maths homework too. She has art as well, but her dad's volunteered to help with that.

I need to do the prep for Tuesday's Rainbow and Guide meetings too, including shopping. But that might be a job for tomorrow, and Monday after work!

DH has gone to synagogue so it's just me, toddler DD, and the cat at home. Looks quite sunny so we will probably decamp to the balcony with some snacks and books/toys.

Lunch when DH gets home, then just chilling for the rest of the day.

Currently in bed telling myself I have to get up and do a load of holiday ironing and packing for our trip next weekend. Chinese takeaway later. Pedicure (done by me) and lunch with the in-laws tomorrow. Diving on Monday unless it's too windy.

Tennis classes for us all this morning (DH, DS and me), need to do the Ocado shop later and a few other small house jobs.

Hoping to play our new game later Sushi Go Party and DH is cooking us a curry for dinner. I would also like some peace and quiet to read my book! :-)

I'm really looking forward to today, been up a couple of hours already and had a lovely time reading books in bed to toddler.

Just hung one washing on the line hopefully squeeze another one out there aswell.

Lidl this morning in a bit then older DC have hobbies this afternoon. This evening DH is doing the dinner bath bed routine while I go out for dinner with my brother which I'm really excited about haven't seen him for a couple of months due to one thing and another so looking forward to a good catch up. Going for a pizza and a glass of wine simple pleasures.

Just at swimming with dd2 . Then dd1 has tumbling and dd1 has tap .

This afternoon dd2 is going to her friends garden party and then later parents are joining for a glass of wine . Then Dd2 has a friend staying over .

I'm sitting in bed with a cup of coffee and cereal listening to the radio. Done my Wordle and started my Semantle. In a few minutes I will get up and go to my 93 yr old Dads picking up some shopping for him on the way. We will have coffee and I will do whatever little chores he has for me like checking his emails.

Afterwards I will go and do my shopping and then come home. I will prep food for tonight and do some tidying and a bit if gardening. At 7pm two friends are coming round.

DH is doing the food shop as usual. DS has had his last day of school ever and is on medication break so he is doing little apart from reading and gaming - probably until the 2nd of July. DD is drawing.
Most of my chores are done, I checked on my plants - so it is hobby time for me 😀

It's a busy one here this weekend. Having tea and toast then off to help DH set up for his football training camp this morning. It's a new business and so far so good. DS1 helps out too.

Then back for some lunch, walk the dog if it's not too hot, pop out to get a card/present for a party tomorrow and one the week after next, and then have got to sort out our holiday clothes this afternoon as we go away in 4 weeks and I've no idea what clothes the DC have. We'll have to go and get anything they need next weekend.

Over to the in-laws this evening for dinner, so it will be a late night.

Tomorrow DS2 has football training, then I need to finish sorting clothes out. DH has his football team's presentation day and the DC have a party in the afternoon which I'll be on taxi duty for. I've also got to pop over to my parents at some point to help them with their computer.

A lazy morning here today, my husbands in Sweden with our daughter so she can meet her great grandparents.

Me and my son are going to dinosnores tonight at the natural history museum, he is very excited about doing the dinosnores section in the dark. We don’t really have any plans for this afternoon, probably just a lazy TV day.

I have tan lines on my feet from my sandals. Had them a couple of years, so amusing!
Lying in bed, musing on whether I want to get up. Carnival in Brum tomorrow, so may save my energy. Sneaked out at 7 this morning to put up a hanging basket outside.

I've done the online shop and set a wash going, plus cleaned all the pans and trays from last night's dinner that didn't fit in the dishwasher. I was meant to go to my Body Combat class but 'accidentally' snoozed my alarm this morning.

Dh is at the gym (more will power than me, obviously) and the three teen dcs are still in bed. I'm going to yo do a short home yoga class, then driving to west Yorkshire this aft as going to see Green Day with DH and our two DDs. Staying over in a hotel and maybe out for a pizza/nandos beforehand. We're excited for the gig which has been rescheduled from 2020, so a long time coming.

I didn't even know it was Saturday tbf! Have felt very ill and lost the plot since going to the festival last weekend. I'm still in bed 😬

I've booked some tickets though - theatre, a ghost tour and an ibiza party boat tour. Now I have absolutely no money for a fortnight.

Think it must be time for a nap...!

We are sitting in the garden in the sunshine at the moment, soon it will be time to head out to see the baby's siblings in the local park. I am making the most of my time with her as we will soon be in her introductions week with her adopters. When we get back my daughter is coming over to stay the night and I am really looking forward to some company.

My ring containing DH's ashes arrived this morning, it's beautiful.

I am fiddling with a large and somewhat neglected bonsai tree that I bought yesterday.

Later on, I shall be making sweet and sour chicken & rice.

Morning all and thank you @lucysmam for another one of these threads. I NC frequently but love reading what everyone is up to every weekend.

I had a slow morning but now need to sort through some Amazon returns, clean the kitchen and then go into work for a few hours. Getting lunch with my team leader as it’s my last day and I’m terribly emotional about it. I’ll be staying in the same city and will see everyone regularly, but it won’t be same 😞

It’s also this season’s last day of work for the company. We close for 8 weeks over the summer, and the last night is always a big one! Sold out show tonight, over 25,000 people in the audience, and we’re all so excited as we haven’t had such a big one since 2019.

It’s in the middle of nowhere though - we leave at 6pm and won’t be back until midnight. After that I have to finish packing for a 3 week work trip to the States. I leave at 6am tomorrow so will be lucky to catch a couple hours of sleep… 😰

I'm still in bed! DH just made me breakfast and I'm chilling with the cat.

No idea what the kids are doing, although I suspect they are gaming/watching TV. DH is just doing a little bit of work.

Kids have an activity late afternoon but other than that we don't have any plans for today so a lazy one.

I’ve been up from 7am but I’ve barley moved, apart from putting on some laundry. I am working at 1 so I’ll get ready soon, thankfully it’s just a 4hr shift today.

DH is away with his DB for the weekend so me and the dcs will make dinner and have a movie night.

Morning all! A slow start, lingering over my morning tea, while DH walks the dogs.
We're going to have an egg and bacon brunch and then get down to our piece of land and do some netting and weeding, but I'm hobbling about with a black bruised foot, so I'm planning to leave most of it to DH.
Later, I will go shopping for the picnic food we're taking to an alfresco performance tomorrow.
Then fiddling around with my dolls houses and finishing my book, possibly in the garden under my brella, listening to the swifts (which finally got here) screaming and hopefully, some nice birdsong later.

I layed in bed until gone 10 while DS busied himself with toys (I let him help himself to yoghurts etc from the fridge) then we both got up had brunch and having a chilled morning until this afternoon when my mum picks him up and I'm off to work 😀 only got 2 weeks left there so not even feeling stressed

I’m lazing on the sofa as I’ve got a horrendous cold - genuinely can’t remember the last time I felt this bad, even with Covid.
DD’s carers are coming soon, though, so DP and I will go out for a bit. Need to get him some new sandals - his current pair have been held together with string for the past couple of years and a change is overdue!
We’ve got to take DD to the optician this afternoon to collect and check the fit on her new prescription sunglasses - she’s going to look insanely cute in them.
Hopefully a nice, quiet evening - I may campaign for a takeaway. Really fancy fish and chips.

Just done swimming lessons, have picked up some lovely fresh rolls for lunch and we are having an hour in the park.

It's nice and enclosed (and empty) so they can burn some energy.

Undecided about this afternoon. I think we may get all the drudge [homework/ ironong etc] done today and then we have the whole of tomorrow free.

Easy dinner. I've already prepped a ragu so just need salad and pasta later. May take them to the local ice cream parlour for dessert (they do sorbets and fro-yo too so my youngest can partake, she is on a very low sugar diet for medical reasons)

I love days like this. No full on plans, no time restrictions, no obligations. We can do as much or as little was we can be arsed with.

A very slow start after a rude awakening by the cats at 4am. No plans until mid afternoon when we will head to Wembley to see Ed Sheeran. No idea who the support is, so have them playing on repeat to become familiar with their music. I hate support acts I don't know!

Good morning,
We got back from our holiday yesterday so after lots of travelling we had a nice sleep in til 10am. Got more washing in, had a cup of tea and thinking of getting the lawn cut before it starts raining for the next 10 days.
Not greatly impressed that I have to make my own bed, provide food & drink and generally fend for myself after being catered for on holiday for the last week.
