Universal credit and third child

Was having a conversation with a friend today discussing benefits as she has just lost her job and is now having to claim universal credit, but as she has 3 dc she won’t be entitled to anything for one of them as they were born after the cut off point.

We looked online at some of the criteria for claiming and one of them was multiple births, this again doesn’t apply to her as all her dc are single births, however I have twins and although I’m not planning on ever having anymore I just wondered how it would work if I then had a third or twins again what I would get? Or if you was in this situation how did it work for you?

As far as I understand, your twins are your 2 children that you can claim for. If you had a single, then twins, you would get money for all 3, but having twins first means that's your 2, nothing for any further children.
