Free drink if you're name is Karen

Oh this is actually a real place? I saw a video on tiktok the other day, the server dumped the food on the table, gave the customer a filthy look, then stole a chip before he walked away Grin

I think it would be great working there. I have spent many years working in hospitality. The number of times I would have loved to tell a guest to fuck off 😂

There is one in Manchester too.

Hoppinggreen · 24/06/2022 14:44

You couldn’t actually pay me to go to one of these. Sounds awful

Think that's the point haha

Aposterhasnoname · 24/06/2022 15:31

This, right here , is my dream job. Where do I apply.

AmberGer · 24/06/2022 15:43

Quoted from article...

"It's a diner like no other - expect turbulent service, singing waiters and regular guest appearances from the manager - the biggest Karen of them all! Don’t expect special treatment at this diner because it’s all about Karen, and she won’t be taking any of your nonsense!"

"Come have some fun and wind the staff up to unleash your inner Karen and see their full Karen potential. You’re in for a horrendously good time but whatever you do, don’t ask for a refund!

"Karen's is not for the faint hearted but it's the perfect place to dine if you dislike your friends, family and colleagues. Bookings are highly recommended as Karen's gets busy so use the booking tool to jump right on in. We're not looking forward to seeing you."

Great, misogyny disguised as a Business

ParanoidGynodroid · 24/06/2022 18:30

I think it sounds fun!

beautyisthefaceisee · 09/07/2022 17:13

I really want to go to one, we are just not near enough.

Great, misogyny disguised as a Business

Considering the behaviour of some ladies on YouTube, it's omg 😲

GoodJanetBadJanet · 09/07/2022 17:20

There was a massive thread on here a few weeks back moaning (Karening?) about it 😁
Really not my thing, I want to go out and be treated well, not like shit by rude sulky staff, even if it is in the name of banter.
Each to their own though.

BertieBotts · 09/07/2022 17:25

My friend went to the one in Australia (she lives there) and I thought it was such a bizarre concept! Defo a real place though.

Mother87 · 09/07/2022 17:28

There's enough surly/crappy service around without actually CHOOSING to pay for it...Each to their own I know but🙄

A few months ago a thread was started by a woman who thought her husband was going to take her for a nice birthday meal, but it turned out he had planned a 3 hour round trip to go to one of these diners. I wouldn't want to go, but it sounds like others would love it.
