Getting to docs appointment in Wimbledon during the tennis!

Hello, I have just realised I've got a doctors appointment booked in Wimbledon on the first day of the tennis (we are traveling over an hour to get there if it were normal traffic). Does anyone have experience of how crazy the traffic gets in Wimbledon around then? I am considering rescheduling (luckily the hospital has parking). Many thanks.

Just allow plenty of time. I had to drive dh to somewhere in that area during last Wimbledon - inc. down the road where the All England is - masses of people walking or queueing - it was a bit slower than usual but fine.

Use the Underground to get there or the train, assuming you can walk to the hospital from the station.
