Concert at Olympic Stadium tips?

Hi all
Any else off to see Red Hot Chilli Peppers at Olympic Stadium London this weekend? I’m wondering about timings to get in etc. Has anyone been to a stadium concert post-covid and can advise on timings and travel options? Ticket says the event is 6 til 10.30.
It’s the rail strikes too so I’m already having to factor in driving and parking 🙃

I went to a concert at the O2 last week. Nothing extra covid related, just normal security check in.

I'm not sure whether the DLR is subject to strikes but the rest of the tube network should be fine (it was yesterday when there were train strikes elsewhere).

yes I'm going with my teens. We would normally train it but now have to drive. Every parking space, hotel room, rent-a-drive and bookable taxi has gone. I'm feeling very anxious about it.

I am! Our train has been cancelled so we’re driving and will park at Westfield Stratford. We’d already booked a hotel as we would have missed the last train home. We’ll just leave early tomorrow morning and see what happens! Very excited 😆

DLR was running during last tube strike, but haven't checked the news to see what's happening tomorrow.

Check what time the car park at Westfield closes - I've a nasty feeling it might not stay open late enough for a concert.

There's no parking at the Olympic Park itself.

I've been to a (non-stadium) large gig recently and there were bag searches but no other checks, so back to normal, I think

I’ve rented a driveway close to one of the stations at the end of the Central Line. I’m staying overnight in central London, so have booked the driveway for 24 hours. Makes it nice and easy (hopefully).

I’m a mega fan, so planning to get there quite early to get a decent spot.

Be aware that there are overnight tube strikes on the Central, Jubilee and Victoria lines every Friday and Saturday night until this Sunday. They’ll be running, but perhaps not as frequently as usual, so will be extra extra packed!

Thanks for the replies. I’m really excited to be back at a huge gig after so long! What time would you be planning to arrive at the venue for a 6 start? We’re seated (old and boring!) so don’t need to jostle for space
