Newquay in the rain

Hi,
I am off to Newquay tomorrow for a week with my DH, DS and my parents. Any ideas of fun things to do in the rain please?
We are already planning on going to the zoo (is any of it under cover?).
My son is nearly 4 and parents in their 70s (just for reference).
Thanks 😊

There is a sea life centre (blue reef?)

Try surfing. Wetsuits keep you warm. Cinema, Truro shopping. Flambards theme park (not school holidays so shouldn't be busy).

Bodyboarding, suitable for all ages and you'll be wet anyway.

Eden project

It was years ago now, so don’t know whether they’re still there, but on an Easter hols trip to Newquay with a dd and friend, both about 10, they really enjoyed the shire horse centre and the seal sanctuary. You’d need a car for those, though.

On an iffy day the sea life centre worked for us as you could go inside when it was raining but enjoy the beach when it stopped as they would stamp your hand for reentry. We were there before covid though.

Crealey (canel creek) was another place mine enjoyed at that age.

Are you driving? Flambards has a large indoor play centre. You could spend a day at the Eden project (take a picnic as the food is expensive).
Jubilee pool (penzance) is great - has a geo-thermal pool - plenty of room to sit/nice cafe.
Mousehole - beautiful village, rock pool cafe to eat, little beach, rock pools to fish for sea creatures..(even in the drizzle/mixed weather). Landsend - has indoor stuff and places to eat.
