spray to de-pong smelly shoes?

My feet aren't smelly but once I start wearing my sandals and birkenstocks the shoes soon honk! I recall many years ago there was an industrial strength spray you could spray on the footbed of shoes that would absolutely neutralise any bacteria and pong. Ones I have bought in shops recently are just over perfumed which I hate and doesn't really address the issue.
Any recommendations please?

Sprinkle liberally with bicarbonate of soda and leave for a day or 2. It will absorb the odours and its environmentally friendly

Yeah, similar to above. 3 tablespoons baking soda, 1 tablespoon corn starch, and 5 drops of tea tree oil in a small container. Lightly sprinkle inside your shoes after you take them off. Let it sit overnight then shake the excess out before wearing them. Keep them out of reach of pets if using tea tree oil because it can be harmful to animals.

Lots of Johnson’s baby powder and leave overnight.

I used to use something like sure anti pers deodorant and put it in shoes or on feet!

Put them in the freezer to kill the bugs that are causing the smell.

We use the dettol all for one spray on ours and my husbands work boots. It's like magic!
