Hi, I am due to travel to London (Euston) on Friday afternoon. I need to be there for 5 and I can’t leave until 1 (maybe 12.30 at an absolute push if my manager takes pity on me!) the journey is a hour and a half by train. I can’t drive (as in, I have no licence), no one who could take me, coaches won’t get me there in time, and an Uber is about £300 one way! So my only option is a train. I’ve got a hotel booked and should be coming back on Saturday. I can’t rearrange.

obviously it’s the train strikes. I’ve had an email saying part of mY journey is cancelled on Friday due to the strikes, as far as I know the timetables for Saturday aren’t confirmed yet? The email states I can apply for a refund or I can use my ticket to get any alternative train. When I check on Trainline there are several other trains I can get. Same for Saturday (currently)

so my question is, wil trains be running? The trains that are listed to book right now, are they running? Will they be cancelled at the last minute? Could they be csnclled as we’re on the train? What are the chances of not being able to get back Saturday?

I know these questions may seem really stupid but I’m just struggling to get my
head around it and I’m so stressed 😭

Oh also my current ticket is West Midlands train first class. Can I use this ticket to get on any train? Thanks

So there’s talks this morning but as things stand Friday is not a strike day. There won’t be every train running as it take time to get the network going things I signed never have considered like getting trains to the right place facing the right direction but you should be able to get there somehow especially for 5pm. Perhaps not the train you booked though.

The bad news is Saturday is a strike day so no trains at all.

No idea where the random signed in there came from!
