Has anyone been recently?
I'm wondering if it's worth it for the roller coasters mainly next week?

Ha yes that made me laugh, although I'm
normally the one sat outside listening for free Grin. Would love to be able to do it from the comfort of my own home though!

Yes, I'm quite jealous of the balconies!

There were loads of people with camping chairs/blankets/picnics in the car park which obviously you'll know is literally the grass right next to it, which cost me £20, no I'm not bitter!
I'd be tempted to do that next year, you can hear everything and see the screens so you get most of it completely free.
I'm guessing the local hotels put the prices up massively that week though?
Hmm, maybe I could drive in and out of somewhere else.

Yes there are only a couple of hotels in lytham, all of which massively increase the prices, I have heard neither are fully booked so it serves them right!

If you come again I recommend parking at Lytham hospital, it's just at the end of the green (so where the festival car park ends anyway) and it's free to park Smile. It's normally pretty busy but me and my friend walk through it to get to to where the festival is and even at 8.30pm last night it wasn't quite full.

Sorry didn't think to mention the parking earlier! It was always £10 but this year they have doubled it!!

We went last night to see snow patrol and no queues at all for anything, not even the bar. Was a great night

I was in the accessible car park as I have a blue badge, ( to the right of the festival as you look at it from the road), and though £20 is scandalous for space on some grass, if you were taking a chair/blanket/snacks, it's not actually a bad deal, the bit of grass car park wasn't that busy either so it wasn't long to get out after.
It's obviously a year away but I'm definitely considering for next year.
I was at a gig in Manchester earlier this year and would love to go back and explore more, so maybe I could get a cheap hotel there and drive in and out for the festival.
