What the hell do you do with your phone etc ? Getting married in a few weeks and just suddenly thought where does my stuff go? I inject everyday too so need somewhere to put my syringe also.
Also. Where does the bag go when I'm waking down the aisle, photos etc ? You never see a bride with a bag!

What did everyone do regarding bags ?

Your mother or moh has them. Please don’t have a phone on you 😢

gingersplodgecat · 21/06/2022 16:17

Bride's mother's handbag. Forewarn her though, otherwise she might buy a tiny handbag to go with her outfit.

Laiste · 21/06/2022 16:19

Perfect opportunity to buy a lovely handbag for the occasion (and give it to someone else to hold during the ceremony/photos ect)

I had a lovely bag which went ahead of me to the reception.

Laiste · 21/06/2022 16:20

What colour's your dress OP? 😀

Nopetryagain · 21/06/2022 16:52

I had a lovely dainty bag that my bridesmaid or mum looked after when I was doing anything ceremonial or being photographed. I don’t think I had my phone in it but I had some face powder, lipstick, mints and a tiny perfume. It was only from Accessorize but was a pretty beaded thing that went well with my dress.

hidethexylophone · 21/06/2022 17:29

I went to a wedding this weekend and the bride gave her phone to one of her bridesmaids who took loads of photos on it during the day for her.

bakewellbride · 21/06/2022 17:34

I had my go-to wedding guest / party bag as a bag for the day. It contained stuff like eyelash curlers, tissues etc and my MIL was in charge of it for the day. My phone remained at the hotel!

bananaboats · 21/06/2022 17:44

I had a clutch bag, someone stashed it somewhere for me till after the ceremony.

Maireas · 21/06/2022 17:46

Leave your phone in a drawer at home.
Give your needle pen pack to someone trusted to keep in their bag.

PeanuttyButter · 21/06/2022 17:49

I had pockets for mints and I completely forgot about my phone! Did 24h plus without it and didn't miss it at all

toastofthetown · 21/06/2022 17:52

I gave it to someone to hold - can't remember who now. Didn't look at it all day.

RuthW · 21/06/2022 17:53

I had a little bag as did my bridesmaids. Mobile phones weren't around then though.

InTheNightWeWillWish · 21/06/2022 17:57

Give your kit to your mum or your bridesmaids. Give your phone to a friend or a couple of friends and get them to take photos for you.

Maireas · 21/06/2022 17:59

Good to have a phone free day!

nocoolnamesleft · 21/06/2022 18:05

Um. All these people advising leaving your phone at home...you're not using it for continuous glucose monitoring are you? If so definitely don't leave it at home!

wheredoiputmystuff · 21/06/2022 18:11

No don't need my phone for anything to do with my medical condition but I would like a few pics on it to be honest ! It's not like I'm going to be sat there updating fb etc 😆 or on Mumsnet !
I think I'll get a small clutch and hand it my mum for the ceremony and it'll probably just sit at the table at the reception. The main thing is my syringe, I can't risk it getting misplaced with anyone !

I was a bride and had a clutch bag - back when mobiles weren't the size of cinema screens! It matched my shoes (not white)

Chocoqueen · 21/06/2022 18:18

I gave mine to my bridesmaid as I hadn't thought about it in advance. She gave it to her husband. I get it back at the end of the night with lots of lovely photos of the day, and lots of selfies of him with various guests 😆. Meant I didn't have to wait ages to see pictures which was nice.

Completely unplanned and he didn't ask if it was ok or tell me he was doing it, but I'll always love him for doing that!

Enko · 21/06/2022 18:22

I had a small.bag made iut of the material my dress was made in

AreYouACheese · 21/06/2022 18:23

I left my bag in my mums car when we went to the church. Then stuck it under the cake table and just went back to it when I needed something from it.

Rainbowshine · 21/06/2022 18:25

I’ve been a bridesmaid quite a few times and looked after a bag for the bride every time, either that or a reliable guest.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 21/06/2022 18:25

I asked this question 😂. My sister in law told me this and it worked. I took a tote bag with flat sandals in, deodorant and spare knickers as that's what she told me. Also took a little cream beaded purse with phone, lippy and perfume. Sister in law took it from me outside registry office and took it to reception.

PutinIsAWarCriminal · 21/06/2022 18:27

I had a pretty little wristlet made in fabric that matched my dress. It was for my tissues, mostly!

hedwigismyowl · 21/06/2022 18:34

I put things like phone, tissues for hayfever, inhaler in my dads suit pockets, who then passed them all to my husband after the ceremony! Dad gave them to him saying 'u got my daughter, now u can have her stuff'
