Seasonal jobs for teenagers WITH accommodation

Posting this now but actually for next summer as I don't know when the application processes start. Next summer ds will be 18 and he wants a job for the summer holidays (end of June to beginning of September) in UK or Europe with accommodation included. The only thing I can think of is campsites! Any other suggestions or warnings welcome! (He has dual British/EU citizenship). He'd probably consider further afield tbh but I want him to save some money rather than just spend it all!)

Hotel work in the Channel Islands, or anywhere really that isn’t just down the road from you. A lot of seasonal summer hotel work is live in in big tourist areas.

Paddingtonsmarmlade · 21/06/2022 17:19

Lots of accommodation with jobs in Cornwall. Hotel/restaurant trade mainly.

Farming but bloody hard work. Not great accommodation.

Camp America

Farming and equestrian yards often have seasonal work, a fair few big yards will offer some form of accommodation eg caravan or dormitory style

OldTinHat · 21/06/2022 17:22

Isle of Wight. Lots of seasonal jobs with accommodation.

Working at somewhere like Eurocamps is great fun. And a lot easier and more pleasant than fruit picking in the U.K.!

firsttimemumhere · 21/06/2022 17:24

Something like Eurocamp?

AquaticSewingMachine · 21/06/2022 17:24

Holiday resorts abroad. People like Neilson and Mark Warner hire UK young people seasonally to be sports instructors or childcare.

Fitterbyfifty · 21/06/2022 18:38

Thanks!

Eurocamp/Al Fresco are good employers but the work is really tough. Fabulous experience though, he might need to be fairly mature to cope.

There's a Facebook page called Season Workers that advertises jobs abroad like this.

EduCated · 21/06/2022 21:32

PGL or similar style activity centres usually offer accommodation.

motogirl · 21/06/2022 21:42

Most U.K. resort areas will have jobs with accommodation.

LIZS · 21/06/2022 21:47

Onceuponatimeinalandfaraway · 21/06/2022 21:59

TheCumbrian · 21/06/2022 22:05

Loads of live in jobs in the Lake District.

2bazookas · 21/06/2022 22:11

Hotel work. Butlins holiday camps. Au pair work.

When I was that age I worked at a theme park that provided ( admittedly very basic) accommodation. This was in USA but I imagine more local ones also do.
