Chub rub at water park?

I am a little more podgy around the thighs than I used to be. When I go swimming it normally just a short walk to the pool and fine. But we are going to water park this summer with the kids. And I am wondering if the chub rub will get really sore hanging around and walking from slide to slide. Very little is spent in the actual pool I believe. Is there a solution to chub rub that is waterproof though?

Longer length swim shorts?

Uyhko · 21/06/2022 14:04

I may have to look at longer length swim shorts. It’s difficult getting swim suits to fit generally as I am quite tall. But guess will need to try to find

Roll on / stick deodorant!

Uyhko · 21/06/2022 14:15

Do you think the deodorant would stay on while swimming?

I bought some (short) swim leggings and wear under swimsuit/dress. Works for me and makes me feel more confident.

Vaseline would probably be good for this

sunlovingcriminal · 21/06/2022 14:21

I think you can buy waterproof anti-chafing salve that might help.

Asda's sell Liquid Talc it's about £1.25 and works miracles.

Swim shorts are the answer with a tankini, bikini or rash top. I've seen them like cycling shorts

Tinkletwat · 21/06/2022 14:33

Bodyglide. Amazon sell it.

Hophop26 · 21/06/2022 14:38

Liquid talc, it’s a game changer!!!

ClaudiaWankleman · 21/06/2022 14:39

Vaseline (even though its grease you don't really notice staining) is the heaviest duty solution, and it really works. At the gentler end, roll on cream deodorant works very well. Make sure you wash them off thoroughly at the end of the day as you may find they lead to some blocked pores which can get red and bumpy.

Perfect. Lots of great ideas 👍

Another vote for liquid talc, life changer! 99p home bargains or from Asda

Yodaisawally · 21/06/2022 17:18

Sun cream! It'll be fine. I've had chin run at size 8 and 16 and everything in between m. Thighs can be annoying.

Yodaisawally · 21/06/2022 17:19

Nope, no chin run. Chub rub!
