HP studios - best hotel

We’re thinking of a trip to HP studios over the summer but we’re about a 5/6 hours drive so we want to stay over 1/2 nights. Does anyone have any recommendations for local hotels around it please?

The Holiday Inn Express in Apsley is pretty close by and decent

Jury’s Inn Watford is within walking distance of Watford Junction, from where you can catch the free shuttle provided to the Studios. There’s a Las Iguanas and Bill’s across the road.

There's a glamping site nearby that has a hagrids hut to sleep in if you want to go all out! Can't remember the name but it will come up if you google it!

there's also a holiday inn 5 minutes walk from Watford junction station. Or a Travelodge about 15 minutes walk away.

The shuttle was £3 return when we went at Christmas.

We always stay in the Watford North Premier Inn for hp studios. Really easy to get to and to drive to the studios as well

Not as close but the premier in St Alban's is a nice spot to stay. Kingslangley also has a couple of pubs with rooms

We just stayed at jurys inn for the hp tour during kadt half term. 3 min straight walk to the shuttle bus at Watford Junction. Rooms were immaculate, breakfast good, restaurant good, beds comfy. Not sure what parking is like if you're driving. Near a busy road but room on 3rd floor was quiet with windows shut. Air con working great too.
