How much to pay lovely cat sitter?

Hi all,

I have no experience of house sitters so would appreciate advice! We are going away for 10 days and the daughter of a friend (she's 18) is coming to stay in our house to look after our cats. We live close to her parents so she's going to pop in and out and is happy to spend the nights here to keep our high maintenance DCats company.

I have absolutely no idea what to pay her though. What do you think? She said she doesn't know either so we definitely need help 😂

Thanks muchly!

I do some cat sitting but I visit twice a day and administer a jab for diabetes each time. I charge £16 a day to include both visits

Last time I used one it was £7 a day for 2 short visits, that was some years ago though.

I think a fair amount for someone staying in your home overnight and looking after the cat for ten days, aged 18, would be £150 personally

Really helpful thank you all.

Flippish I applaud you for being able to do diabetes jabs - I can only just about manage to get worming pills into my cats without huge blood loss (mine, obvs)

I would also say £150.

Great, thank you, I'll suggest that
