Does this sound like hand foot and mouth?

We are on a city break in the North to see a show and my 6 year old started with a sore throat yesterday.
Today he's got the lacy viral rash on his back, red spots on his throat, red spots starting all round his mouth and red spots over his groin area. The spots are 'spotty' rather than rashy.

He's had no temperature and is well in himself on and off, but has occasions of looking lethargic. His skin gets flushed looking during these episodes.

All spots are blanching.

There is a walk in centre here that I could take him to tomorrow but I was just wondering if anyone else thought this sounded like hand foot and mouth?

I can't see anything on his hands or feet but last time he had it he never had spots there either.

HFM spots are blisters, like chicken pox. It doesn't look like it to me.

I'd ring the walk-in centre and ask them, to be honest. If they think it's HFM they might not want you arriving with no warning.

We went to the walk in and they put him in a side room. They reckon it's viral infection but not HFM.

Oh poor thing! I'd say that looks infected, but I'm no medical expert

When mine had it her spots didn't scab like that. She had a matching rash on each hand and feet and a few spots on her face followed by spots at the back of her mouth and the roof of her mouth.

He's got spots on the back of one hand, none on his palms

How strange that it can present so differently. My dd had a few spots on her torso but mostly around her mouth
