Have a smart and tidy house at all times as I feel like giving up. I live in a 3 bed with my young daughter and house maintenance is just CONSTANT.

I’ve spent most of the weekend doing tasks and tidying up but the house is still a mess. I mean it’s not dreadful to look at but open a cupboard and the world will fall out. I still have a million things to take back to shops, haven’t thought about food for the week, have a list as long as my arm for maintenance bits to do around the house. And yes I do have a cleaner!!

it never ends...

All I can say, OP, is same here.

It never ends. The house is a tip. So many jobs need doing as well as the garden. There is only so much I can do myself but it feels never ending. I’m in such a down mood about it today - nothing ever seems to change.

Feel for you OP.
Cupboard doors stay firmly shut here. In DS's rooms case it's the room door that stays firmly shut.

I'm struggling to believe that your house is as much of a midden as you claim when you only have one child and have a cleaner?

I think you have been looking at too many show homes on instagram and need to lower your standards.

@student26 garden is being ignored as currently overgrown even though I had a gardener out 3 months ago…

@THisbackwithavengeance I said it doesn’t LOOK awful, it’s just an ongoing battle to keep on top of things
