I read it a while ago, may or may not remember ending ! Is that the one where she ate the paper to avoid him seeing it ( rather than simply flushing it etc )

Well her husband had read her manuscript years ago, which is why he drove the car into the tree and tried to kill her and make it look like suicide. So why, at the end, did he kill her, when he knew all along what she had done? I feel like I've missed something important!

I thought premise was
Verity writes autobiographical book, but it's actually a journalistic exercise, not true
Husband reads book, strangles her, drives car in to tree
But she doesn't die, pretends to be in coma
Husband then has affair with new writer person after she's been in supposed coma for a while
Then when husband finds out she isn't in coma, he kills her
So he did try to Kill her after he read book ?

I think he didn't bother to kill her while she was in a coma but then he was passed when he found out she wasn't really ?

He killed her because she'd be faking being ill after the "accident".

I was disappointed in the ending
