Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa, listening to the birds outside. I thought I heard dd2 moving about upstairs, a little while ago, but she hasn't come down yet.

We haven't got much planned for today. The girls have Fathers Day presents for their dad & we'll cook a nice tea together later on.

There's the usual Sunday ironing & help dd2 with the last of her maths homework that she's struggling with. & I'm just about to fix something for work 🙄 plus I'll make playdough later on.

We need a walk to Asda for a few things but I might see if the girls dad will go instead - my back hurts, think I slept funny 🤷‍♀️

The only thing I most definitely want to do today is finish the second coat of primer on my high-tops. I'm very excited to start customising them with my pics from The Killers gig in Doncaster last month. I'm still dithering about what to paint on the tongues though.

I've had coffee and toast this morning, put a wash on, and recovering from the many hours spent in th airport yesterday waiting with my mother for her flight. It was 40 yesterday and I regretted wearing jeans that's for sure. Today is cooler and a bit of a breeze and we will have storms and rain later which I will go and stand under to cool off.

I'm just about to go and pick the first ripe tomatoes of the season. <Twirls> I love home grown food.

Then basically just put the washing out and run up to take it in before it rains and do absolutely nothing else all day. Bliss.

I have just got a new bike (an electric one that I can use for my hilly commute to work to try and save fuel costs) so me and DP are going to go for a little ride out, he is an avid cyclist and normally has to slow his pace when I'm with him but hoping with my new e-bike I'll be whizzing ahead of him .

Then we need to go food shopping and return/pick some things up from Next. I'm also going to bake a birthday cake for my mum so need to squeeze that in somewhere as well as catching up on a bit of work probably!

Also incredibly jealous of you going to see The Killers!

On second cup of tea. Going on holiday next weekend (this holiday has been booked since 2019!) and really need to get sorted for that as have done nothing so far. Need to send DH up to the loft for suitcases. Also need to pop to pet shop for dry cat food and do an online Tesco order for more cat food, sun cream and toiletries etc. Just need to shift the hangover first!

Oh and pop to the garage (Evri shop) to pick up DH's birthday presents that I had delivered there.

I have a 30+ item to do list for the start of this week so after DH and I have been for a walk i'm going to make a start on that. Will start with the easy tasks!

Morning, all !
Just took my dh breakfast in bed for father's day - cheese on toast. Our ds will be round shortly with his present.
Miserable day here, but never mind. We've had a lovely weekend, walking and eating out.
Dh is going to watch films all day and I'm going to tidy up, have a bath and walk my dog.

Just had coffee and watching first episode of Sherwood. Have to get dressed in a minute and collect DD from a sleepover. DH is taking DS's friend home and then we are having Father's Day brunch. After that it's back to normal Sunday activities like meal planning, ironing and tidying.

I have Covid and I’m feeling absolutely terrible so I’m feeling sorry for myself watching a film and eating my way through the house!

We’re loafing around, with DD playing games on my old phone.
Will need to get sorted soon as DD had a hospital appointment on the other side of London at midday.
We’ll have to grab something to eat while we’re out and then, depending on what time we get back, will probably go to our local country park so DD can let off some steam.
Mustn’t forget to write in DP’s Father’s Day card and pop his presents in a gift bag!

Drinking coffee then off to a fetish market with friends as ds is with his dad today.
Can't wait to have a fun filled adult day!

Off to Tesco, then sort the washing, maths for eldest and reading with youngest, out for coffee later with husband and kids, my dad popping over at some point today.

Cooking a roast, get uniforms & lunches ready for the week, take dog for walk, sort out paperwork that's been laying around on worktops for the last few weeks.

Might must paint nails which have chipped and been like this for several days🤣

The cat (he's 18-20 years old) woke me at 4.30! I texted a friend who's on holiday in Dubai - they're 3 hours ahead and I knew she'd be up - and she said it was 40 degrees! Cat came in 5.15 so I fed him and went back to bed. He woke me again at 7! Little sod.

I've changed my bed, done some washing and hung it out. I've hoovered and polished all through downstairs. Both sons will be here for lunch and to give my husband their Father's Day gifts. Husband is cooking a roast beef dinner. I'm going to go out in a bit to get wine and beers.

I have a bunch of little yet pervasive tasks to tackle today along with big stuff. Catching up on vacation planning (need to get a visa, have to pay my share of hotel, etc), clean the kitchen, do mounds of laundry, tidy the living room and put art supplies away.

I also have actual client work to do and start on for a good week ahead. Shit. Just remembered I have to build and launch a client web site today. I may also do some cooking for the week.

Still in bed lounging though. Upsie daisy!

I've made dd a cooked breakfast before she went to work.

Currently cooking for ds and dh.

Think we'll go a drive around the coast today and have ice cream. Will take the dogs for a walk. Make something handy for dinner and get bags packed as dh and I are off for a few days away tomorrow.

Every Sunday from September I have been on a course or revising for exams so i am making the most of the Sunday as the last exam was during the week!

Currently having a cup of tea and toast. Was out last night and had a few too many sherbets.

DH working and won't be home until dinner time. DD1 at a pals and needs picked up before lunchtime. DD2 been up since daft o'clock and is now playing on my iPad.

Washing, ironing, and grabbing some sort of pudding for later are my tasks for today.

At least it's sunny here.

Very lazy day here today, I gave my husband a lay in for fathers day as he didn’t have one last week. He’s taken my son and our daughter out so I might have a bath or do some lego in peace.

Having a lazy morning, DD is at a friends so I have the house to myself for a change. Thinking about my dad who passed away almost 5 years ago, and missing him a lot. Have a friend coming over this afternoon, will cook dinner for us both using the gousto box which should arrive today. Will put a wash on in a minute.

Tennis in the morning. Nice father's Day lunch, then theatre with DC.
