Scottish Child Abuse Enquiry - please be gentle

I need to make a decision on whether I am going to speak to the enquiry or whether I will be happy with a care provider confirming they have actually made huge changes to the way things happen (mainly safeguarding issues though there is somethings that may have been classed as abuse).

How does one make such a decision? I am an absolute mess already - really struggling, not sleeping, extremely jumpy and currently signed off work as I just could not cope with it at all (I work in an area where I hear a lot of child abuse stories).

I accidentally found out about the enquiry during a meeting at work and everything has now come flooding back.

Are they supporting you with some counselling or at least someone to will answer any questions to allay any worries you may have ?

Who is "they"? The organisation, no. They have said things have changed but obviously I don't know what things.

I am having therapy for CPTSD and DID through the NHS, and have been for a while now.

You would think there would be social workers or some other department that have been assigned to help those who were children at the time / potentially involved.
It's a shame if you don't feel you are receiving support.

I will look into that - maybe there are and I just don't know about them.
