Pick up place at Wembley Stadium for Harry Styles concert?

DD is going to the Harry Styles concert at Wembley stadium tomorrow night and will need to leave early to get last train home so I'm thinking of driving up to pick her and her friends up but have not been to Wembley in recent years and never driven.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to pick the girls up from nearby to the stadium? It seems such a shame that they will need to leave early. Will the traffic be horrific and am I mad to consider this?

It will be rammed there. I would drive to a tube stop that is a few stops away. There will be fewer cars and people and she can just hop on the tube and meet you there.

If they get the metropolitan line to Finchley Road (it’s one stop) or the jubilee line (several stops) from Wembley then you can park at the car park behind the 02 centre which is a short walk from the tube station. It is a pay car park but not extortionate. They will be running the tube more frequently to accommodate the concert crowd.

Good plan. And choose a stop that's going against the flow. Maybe Kingsbury on the Jubilee line or Harrow on the Hill on the Metropolitan. (Make sure they go from Wembley Park if you do that).

Thank you @CharlotteSt @GrumioEstEbrius @Littleredbrickmammy

Some great ideas and that's helped us with a plan.

Just be aware the last time I went to a concert at Wembley (Pink) it took over an hour to get to the tube station (should be a 5 min walk) due to volume of people and the tube station restricting how many people they let in at a time to avoid overcrowding. So don’t worry too much if it takes them ages to get to you!

I'm waiting for news from my DD. There is only 1 more train they can get before the last train.

Me too. I heard from my DD about 40 minutes ago and they had only just made it to Wembley Park, she's already missed the last train on our line so she's going to have to get on a train to the nearest big town on the next line over, where one of the other mums will pick them up.

I’d definitely suggest they get the tube a couple of stops from Wembley and you pick them up from their. Depending where you live , either met line or jubilee will be fine, but as a pp said it will take them
a while to get onto the tube.
Harrow on the hill isn’t the easiest of stations to pick up from but all met lines would stop there.

We were at a concert there last weekend and were being picked up afterwards. Our initial pick up point was not easily accessible due to road closure when coming out of the concert so we walked down the main road (marked blue) and arranged to be picked up by one of the side turnings. The further down the road they can meet you the less traffic you will have to sit in to get to them. The road marked with a Red Cross is where the road was closed off when we came out (we had actually driven down the same road to be dropped off).

Thank you all. I think they are going to get a tube back to the O2 and I'm meeting them there. Reading how long it took everyone to get on the tube last night and it's a Sunday service I'm not sure they'll get there. I'm happy to drive in closer if need be and the map of suggested side road is really helpful.

@Allthegoodusernamesareused

Hope your DD got back OK.
Mine was back at 1.30am and was pretty chilly in a thin short dress and hoodie. suggestions beforehand for wearing something warmer or taking an emergency pair of tights were not well received it took them around 1 hr 45 just to get to Wembley Park, and then a 45 min wait for their connecting mainline train. (We're not even that far away!) Friends dad collected them from the local station

DD finally got home just after 3am, after a nightmare of cancelled trains. She was chilly and dehydrated, but had an amazing time.

I was surprised that HS didn't actually start his set til 8.45 on Saturday (I was reckoning on 8pm) and finished at 10.30 according to DD but she said he started 15 min earlier last night.
OP hope your DD had a good time, and you collected OK.

@Fizbosshoes @Allthegoodusernamesareused DD managed to get one of the last tubes back to the O2 before they shut for the night and was home about 1am after picking up from there. Had a brilliant time! Good to hear yours got home safe too.
