Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I've had a lie in & a brew. I'm just about to make a coffee to take up while I get dressed. The washer's on already, & I've been listening to the birds in the tree at the bottom of my garden. Nice way to start the day!

We're going for a walk into town for something for the girls' dad for Fathers Day. They picked cards ages ago but he mentioned a neck fan thingy ages ago & we've not found one yet so hopefully somewhere will have them. I didn't think to order online 🙄

When we get in, I want to put a second coat of primer on the high-tops I'm customising, and have a look at what's planned for Tuesday at Rainbows and Guides. Dd2 has maths homework so she can sit with me at the table to do that; so I can help if needed.

I'm not sure what's for tea yet - maybe chicken burgers 🤷‍♀️

This evening will either be sketching my pics to work from on my shoes, or making a start on more story props, with a glass or two of wine. I'm just not sure what yet. The girls will probably do that teenager-ey thing of being in their rooms & visiting for snacks every now and again 🤣

What about all of you?

I've been for a hot walk to the boulingerie for our bread and croissants. Got back and the OH has made coffee so sitting on the terrace having breakfast. We will be having potato salad with cheese on yesterday's baguette for lunch and then driving my mother to the airport for her trip home. Then going to do a big food shop including frozen food as we are about to turn the big freezer on with the amount of stuff we are harvesting and I want it full asap.

Then change bedding, and collapse in a heap under a fan with lots of cold drinks. And we had pizza out yesterday and brought half of it back so that's tea sorted with the rest of the potato salad.

Already on the train heading to Royal Holloway for the uni open day with DD. Should be home by 6 and will be catching up on some work in front of the TV. DH and DS are going to a friends birthday BBQ this afternoon.

No plans tomorrow thankfully - June has been really busy and I need a day of pottering!

Nothing grand.

Remaining tomato plants and aubergines need to be planted up and some serious deadheading needs doing.

Didn't walk the dog yesterday afternoon as it was too much for him , obviously, but will have a nice long walk in the woodland where it's cooler and shady , later on.

Other than that , lounging, reading, scrolling , drinking endless tea with even more lounging .

DD is playing in the garden with neighbour child, I've sewn on a button and put on a wash. Now having a coffee and scrolling. Later taking DD to lido and then my sister and kids coming over for BBQ.

Just back from an hour long MRI recovering somewhat whilst pondering whether to dye my roots dark blonde to try hide the greys or just go straight to shower no 2.

potter round during the day then head to Daves (David Lloyd) with the teens for the outdoor pool at teatime

then bed as didn’t sleep for worrying about hospital

The lego NES that I clearly ordered for our daughter arrived this morning, unfortunately I have discovered its slightly too advanced for her so I have kindly volunteered to build it.

Adoption group have booked out a play centre so we’re going there in a bit, once thats finished we’re going to head to woodberry wetlands as it will only be about a fifteen minute walk from the play centre.

We haven’t reallt watched any of the new season of the boys so we’re going to try to watch a couple of episodes tonight.
