Newcastle Theatre Royal Disabled car parking

Going to see the Book of Mormon tomorrow at the theatre royal, which doesn’t have its own car park. Does anyone know the easiest car park for a wheelchair user please? I have googled and know there’s a few close by, guess I’m hoping for personal recommendations

There are blue badge parking near on the Theatre Royal website. Plus on street parking is free after 6.30 pm.

Shakespeare Street down the side of the theatre. If I remember rightly it's free for blue badge holders. There's also Carliol Square which is a little bit further away (behind where the fire station used to be on Pilgrim Street) but has the advantage of being a little bit quieter so more likely to have spaces, cheaper (although I think BB holders are free), and there's space to make sure no one parks right up the back of you and blocks the boot for putting your chair back in.
