PIP automatically extended at renewal

I have heard of some people having this happen, after having quite a long term award e.g. 5 yrs, they just get told it is becoming a long term award.

Just wondered if anyone had experience of this? Would be so grateful if this happened, find the renewals very stressful.

I have only ever had this for one terminally ill client. The rest have had to redo it even if they’re completely wheelchair bound and have been for years!

My friend with progressive MS has an ongoing award, it isn't that unusual surely.

They have said they won't assess me anymore for ESA so wondered if that might influence them perhaps
