Please talk to me about knee scooters?

OH has had foot surgery and is on crutches for 6 weeks. He is managing well with crutches in the house, but we're looking into knee scooters for getting round more. Please tell me about the pros and cons of using a knee scooter? Flowers

I hired one after breaking my ankle. It was a few years ago but I remember I found it very useful although my plaster cast got in the way a bit. Not an issue if your OH doesn’t have one obviously.

I can’t remember whether it had brakes!

But well worth a try I would say. It gave me some extra freedom while I was waiting for my break to heal.

I could have had one after ankle surgery but decided against it as the fact that we had stairs in the house made it pretty useless indoors, and I was OK on crutches outside. (I was lucky that it was left ankle and I have an automatic car so I could drive).

Thank you both.

@Muppetpuppet - he has a half slab round the back of his leg and foot, so hopefully it should be ok.
