Paultons Park or Chessington with a 7and 9 year old?

We are planning a day trip to either Paultons Park or Chessington with our 7 and 9 year old. Both are thrill seekers so I'm worried Paultons Park may be too young for them? We've never been so hopefully I'm wrong. Chessington is our other option but is a longer drive and possibly longer queuing times? Any insight would be great! We are going on a week day as school has a development day coming up

Chessington definitely and it will be much less quiet during the week! I used to go with my preschoolers all the time and there were no queues for anything

Tbh Paultons isn’t as young as it used to be and they have some good rides. Unless you have a tall 7 year old they aren’t doing the very scary rides at Chessington anyway.

Only thing that annoys me about Paultons is the cost. It’s extortionate in my opinion!

Mine are thrill seekers and loved Paultons when they were 6 and 9. On balance they preferred it to Chessington because there was less queuing for rides. So Id opt for Paultons.

However, there is a cut off for Paultons - my eldest is now 11 and she only wants to go to Thorpe Park!

I agree about the heights. You have to be 120cm (I think) to go on the bigger rides at Chessington and my younger daughter was cross she couldn't go on them when she was 6.
Paultons has a couple of good rollercoasters which have a lower height restrictions.

My 7 year old is a bit of a giant at 133cm tall so I don't think the height will be a problem. Is Paultons Park a lot more than Peppa pig world? Or is that a big chunk of it? Thank you for all you suggestions so far!

If he is 133 he will be able to go on all rides except 1 at Chessington. At this time of year, during the week the queues shouldn’t be bad at all, the main irritation will likely be school trips and they generally leave early afternoon so if you are prepared to stay until closing you will get plenty of rides.

Oh and look out for Carex bottles for half price entry or I think Cadburys and Kelloggs have 2 for 1

Paulton's is more than Peppa Pig World - PPW takes up about a 3rd of the park, whereas the rest is larger roller coasters etc. There are some good ones in the new area Tornado Springs.
