Chicken pox vaccine - how were they immediately after?

Taking my little one for the chicken pox vaccine tomorrow morning, couldn't find anywhere nearby so we're driving over an hour for it. There's a place right by with a water park and soft play and we were thinking of taking them there after but not sure how good an idea it is or if they'll be feeling quite rubbish? Or if chlorine on a fresh vaccine site is a bad idea? Blush

My two had the chicken pox vaccine a few years ago now. Zero side effects both times (they had to have 2 injections, weeks apart I think it was). So glad they had theirs.

My eldest two had their chickenpox jabs before Easter and had no reaction immediately afterwards. My 6 year old came down with a fever a week later, so be aware that there can be a reaction in the following weeks (yes, weeks!)

Just fine. It's a routine vaccination in many countries.

Yep, my DD had this a few months ago and had absolutely no side effects

Great thank you, might avoid the pool just in case but will book soft play. Better a few minutes pain than 7+ days of pox!
